Description

  • silk, wool, silver
  • The lettercase: Height 4 in. by Width 6 in.
One pair of shoes worked in satin, long and short and other stitches; the other worked in satin stitch, the coin purse worked in French knots, satin and other stitches; a needlework lettercase. Coin purse altered.  4 pieces.

Condition

Shoes with some breaks to some of the threads. The silk foundation fabric has some tears, one pair of shoes with some visible restorations to the foundation fabric particularly around the toe area. The small purse with a later metal clasp and now with some losses to the metal thread along with some tarnishing and oxidation. The lettercase with some fading and spot stains; minor tears to interior fabric lining.
