Condition

On what appears to be the original stretcher, painting has been relined. Appears to have been heavily restored with areas of in-paint and restoration particularly around the eyes. Scattered minute spots of retouch on forehead, around eyes, few small spots on upper lip and chin, sparse spots to backgrounds, several spots around edges; a half-inch sliver of paint loss is barely seen at upper right edge.
