Condition
There are slight variations in the decoration of the five vases and in the decoration of the three covers. These garnitures were assembled from the large quantities of similar wares recovered from the wreck of the Vung Tao.
All exhibit typical surface abrasion consistent with being under water. One Gu vase as a chip to the rim and foot rim; Two covers each have a small chip to the knop and small chips to the rims; One baluster vase has rim chips and a minor rim haircrack; one baluster vase has a chip inside the footrim;
