Description

  • Height of Dutch stand 12 1/2 in. by Width 6 1/2 in. by Depth 2 1/2 in.
Dutch stand with initials BDG above door, and inscribed at base Anno 1771. Together with a carved mahogany cased mirror, 19th century. 3 pieces.

The Dutch watch stand: Simon Redburn, New York.
The cased mirror: Jonathan Trace, New York.

Condition

AMerican stand: Watch case without a watch. Burlap lining to interior is mostly entirely worn away. Small chips to carving at corners and edges. Abrasions to feet and edges. Dutch stand: Wear and rubbing to decoration; now with some chips and losses. OVerall the colors have worn and darkened. No watch present. One back foot is lacking- recommend restoring. Cased mirror: Cased-mirror with small chips and wear to corners and edges. Door to mirror has warped and does not fit evenly into case. Age crack to back side.
