- CERAMICS
- Diameters 3 1/8 in. and 2 7/8 in.
Each with screw tops; the first, probably Derby, inscribed on the cover Ruth Clouer 1773 within a floral wreath; the second Leeds example inscribed on the cover with the verse: When / this you see / Remember me / tho many miles we / Distant be, and on the reverse Peter, Brein, 1773.

Condition
The first box: the box has two fine haircracks, each running from the rim to the foot on opposite sides, and some very minor pinhead chipping to the rim.
Second box:most of the cover's flange was restored and made up, and at least half of the restoration has now broken away; there are some chips to the remaining portion of the flange; there is a small filled chip to the rim of the box issuing as fine haircrack down the side; some minor wear to the enamels.
