Condition

2 1/2-in. area of restoration to the rim of the cover; head and one wing of the bird knop restored. An approximate 5 x 1 1/2-in. section of the rim has been broken out in three pieces and repaired with a museum-type restoration and incorporating made-up restoration to associated losses on the rim, measuring approximately from 1 1/2 in. to 1 in., as well as some restoration to several smaller losses along the break lines; 1-in haircrack to the rim; several minor small chips to the rim; 1-in firing crack to the rim above the handle.
