Circa 1860. Together with a Tekke rug, West Turkestan, circa 1900 and a Yomud Chuval, West Turkestan, late 19th century.  3 pieces.

Condition

(Tekke torba) Pile ranges is generally good throughout. Small hole with some minor losses to pile around center. Small slit in upper end. Some minor spot stains and some minor wax droppings and a small 3 in. faded area in the upper corner. Sides possibly missing a ½ in. on each side now reselvaged. Upper end finish with flat woven end finish, folded under and sewn. Lower end secured with a binding stitch. Good dense weave. Soft lustrous wool. Sound fabric and condition. (Tekke rug) Pile ranges from 1/10th of an in. to low to knot heads in a few scattered areas. Both sides with some repairs and small reweaves to outer guard stripes. Small repaired vertical foldwear in field. Sides overcast. Upper end with original flatwoven finish. Lower end lacking a few rows of knots. Both ends secured with a binding stitch. Lusterous wool, supple handle and good condition. Approximately 3ft. 7in. by 3ft. 4in. (1.09 by 1.02m.) (Yomud chuval) Pile ranges from 1 /10th of an in. to low to knot heads. Some minor moth damage areas with exposed foundation, not extensive. Selvages with losses and abrasions and minor repairs. Ends with some losses partially secured with blanket and chain stitch. Sound fabric and condition and flexible handle. Approximately 2ft. 1in. by 4ft. (0.64 by 1.22m.)
