Depicting Rebecca at the well, Eliezer walking to Nahor, Eliezer asking for Rebecca on behalf of Isaac, and Rebecca returning with Eliezer, interior mounted with a handcolored engraving of the River Thames, worked in stumpwork, satin, couching and other stitches.

Condition
Casket with significant losses to the needlework exposing line drawing beneath and old holes. Dark colors have oxidized to expose foundation beneath. Tortoiseshell banding has some chips and losses, Some of the elements are lifting. One side with a 1' loss to banding. Other side with a 7" replacement. Spot stains and minor tears to interior fabric.
