Appear to retain their original gilt wood and gesso frames. Note on verso in Mrs. Schorsch's handwriting: Mr. and Mrs. Bass by James Sharples Philadelphia from Chrysler/Garbisch Collection. She is Sarah Lawrence Bass for whom the Sara Lawrence is named.

Condition

Mr. Bass has slight tear. Both portraits have abrasions overall.
