In the medallion, the figure of an enslaved black man in silver chains and shackles, beneath the inscription AM I NOT A MAN AND A BROTHER?. Together with an account book signed, R.C. Dickinson, for use on the estate of R.C. Dickinson, printed in Richmond, Virginia J.W. Randolph, 121 Main Street, 1852; including several loose pages dated 1858 List of Negros.  2 pieces.

Condition

In order listed: The first: The top and bottom are loose. Some breaks in the ivory and silk is frayed on the sides; The second: Work cardboard covers, wear to the covers. Brittle pages. The leather binding has disintegrated.
