Condition
Original canvas which is slightly slack on its stretcher. There are minor frame abrasions along all four edges. There is fleck of paint loss in the upper right and below the centre of the composition. A few very fine cracks are visible in the pink at the foot of the tree in the foreground. Inspection under UV light reveals minor retouching to the edges in the lower left corner, a small spot in the pile of logs and a couple of other very small spots of retouching. Held in a gilt wooden frame with plaster mouldings. Unexamined out of frame.
