Condition
Original canvas which appears to be on its original stretcher. It is buckling slightly over the lower right corner. There are minor frame abrasions along all four edges. There is an indentation in the canvas near the centre of the left edge and some minor associated paint loss. There is the odd isolated patch of craquelure and some flecks of paint loss but the paint layer is stable. There is a covering of surface dirt with spots of dirt in places, the varnish layer is uneven. Inspection under UV light does not reveal any obvious signs of retouching. Held in a simple wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
