Condition

Original canvas on its original stretcher, the tacking edges have been taped. Faint stretcher bar marks are visible along the top and bottom edges. There is a layer of surface dirt and some light scratches and indentations to the paint surface. There appear to be areas of retouching around the black line, above the green circle. There is an area of green pigment above the centre of the left edge. The varnish layer is uneven. Inspection under UV light does not reveal any other obvious signs of retouching. Held in a simple wooden tray frame. Unexamined out of frame.
