Condition

The work has been laid on cardboard but the original signature and date are still visible in a rectangular window. There is paint loss to the top corners and the bottom right corner. There are frame abrasions along all four edges with minor associated paint loss, which is mostly restricted to the bottom edge. There is a crease running down from the feet of the musicians to the bottom edge. There are flecks of paint loss in places. There is a covering of surface dirt with varnish residue visible in places. Held in a painted wooden frame with a cream slip. Unexamined out of frame.
