Condition
The sheet has yellowed. There are pinholes in the top two corners and in places at the edges. There is some water staining to the left of the signature at the bottom edge. A faint vertical crease running through the sheet is visible in the house on the left of the stage. At the top of the staircase on the left is a surface scratch which has resulted in a very small circular paper loss. Held behind glass in a simple wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.

The present lot depicts the town square of Little Kitezh in Act II of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevroniya which premiered in Brno in 1934.
