- both signed in Latin l.r.; both further numbered and titled on the reverse, one dated 29 août 1919, the other bearing the artist's stamp
- gouache heightened with silver paint on paper

Condition
La Soubrette
The sheet has discoloured and there is foxing in places, most visibly in the unpainted area of the dress. There is creasing throughout, most notably the three vertical creases running through the centre and one diagonal crease through the upper left corner. Light surface scratches and abrasions are visible throughout and there is a light layer of surface dirt. Along the top edge on the reverse are the remains of an old piece of adhesive tape. There is light wear to the corners and edges. The sheet is hinged to the mount at the top two corners. Held in a slim gold painted wooden frame behind glass. Unexamined out of frame.
Patricienne Venitienne
The sheet has discoloured. There are creases throughout, most notably through both of the lower corners. There are light surface scratches and abrasions throughout which are most visible in the black background. There are pinholes in the corners. Along the top edge on the reverse are the remains of an old piece of adhesive tape. The sheet is hinged to the mount at the top two corners. Held in a slim gold painted wooden frame behind glass. Unexamined out of frame.
