Condition
Original canvas which is very slightly undulating in the top left and upper centre. There are vertical cracks throughout the composition, these are deeper towards the centre at the far left, where there is some paint flaking. Other minor paint chips are scattered across the surface. An old stretcher bar mark is just visible along the upper edge. There is a layer of surface dirt. Examination under UV light reveals retouching throughout the composition but particularly in the upper left, along the edges and in the sky. Held in a gold coloured frame. Unexamined out of frame.
