vertically oriented, the gnarled attenuated body with a dense array of burls and knots, marked with numerous irregular openings, including an elongated one to one side, the surface patinated to a dark chocolate-brown colour with reddish-brown highlights to the protrusions, wood stand
Condition
As typical of root wood carvings, the shape of the sculpture is highly irregular. There may have been some shrinkage. Expected age cracks, especially at the top. Other minor bruising and surface wear.
