skilfully carved in the form of a large furled lotus pad with irregular sides rising to a incurved rim with an undulating outline, the exterior carved in low relief with the veins of the pad and further decorated in relief with a small fish and attendant stems bearing small lotus flowers and pads, the vermilion and creamy-white sections of the stone skilfully carved to depict a milky-white furled pad with the fish, lotus flowers and pads rendered in reddish-orange

Condition

There are minor chips to the fragile extremities but overall good condition.
