Condition
The illustration is accurate, good overall condition despite the inevitable dents, scratches and marks due to the age and use.
It come with two weights a pendulum and a rewind key, the movement looks complete although we do no guarantee the working order of the mechanism
Come with deadbeat escapement and mercury pendulum.

Catalogue Note
Horloger-mécanicien établi rue St Martin à Paris, Constantin Detouche (1825-1900) se spécialisait dans l’horlogerie de précision et la production d’horloges publique. En même temps il fabriquait des girouettes, des paratonnerres, des métronomes et un tourniquet compteur utilisé pour les expositions universelles de 1855 et 1867. Detouche, qui a eu aussi une importante production d’horloges domestiques, s’intéressait de près aux problèmes d’astronomie et ses garde-temps. Il fut titulaire de huit brevets d’horlogerie entre 1844 et 1865, et en 1887 était responsable pour la troisième édition (augmentée) du Traité d’Horlogerie de Claudius Saunier. Detouche devint Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur en 1853.
