Condition
The illustration is accurate, good overall condition despite the inevitable dents, scratches and marks due to the age and use.
The gilding has been gently cleaned up, the patina of the bronze is slightly worn on the more exposed areas. A small casting crack on the base, around a foot of King Louis-Philippe. The movement looks complete but we do not guarantee the working of the mecanism. With a winder and a pendulum.

Par une ordonnance de 1833, le roi Louis-Philippe relança le principe d'exposition régulière des produits de l'industrie française selon un rythme quinquennal : c'est en mai 1834 que se tint la première exposition de son règne, place de la Concorde où quatre bâtiments furent spécialement érigés pour abriter 2477 exposants.
