Description

Condition
The painting presents a certain number of thin craquelures scattered on the surface with a few chips of matter missing, especially on the left of the composition, by the left border. A diagonal scratch is visible on the guitar, and a long L-shapped tear is visible on the left, above the lady's shoulder (visible on the photograph).
On the back of the canvas, a patch is visible : an old tear was located accross the left lady's chest, to her left shoulder. The retouch is slightly visible under UV light.
Two other patches are located on the back of the canvas in the upper right (corresponding to the upper left of the composition).
All four borders were restaured. Scattered traces of restauration are visible on the surface.
A few chips are missing due to the frame on the right border. In some areas, in the background, the painting is thinner.
The painting seems slightly dirty and would benefit from a small cleaning.
