Condition

The painting has been relined. Craquelures in the upper right in the sky are tending to open. The painting is thin in some areas. Under UV light, retouches are visible in the men's clothing on the lower left, on the pavement on the left, repaints are visible in the lower right in the architecture, and on the bridge, in the lower right. Small retouches are scattered on the surface, especially in the darker areas. A few repaints are visible in the water and in the sky. The photograph in the catalogue is slightly too clear.
