Condition
The illustration is accurate, good overall condition despite the inevitable dents, scratches and marks due to the age and use.
The marquetry has been restored with a few replacements to the tortoiseshell, some traces of cleaning products all over the marquetry of the top, the gilding of the mount is tarnished and slightly rubbed, a few minor liftinsg to the brass moulding, it comes with one key.
Please note that this condition report was made on September 1rst 2016 inside Robert de Balkany's hôtel rue de Varenne; this lot will be shipped to Sotheby's galleries before the exhibit and the sale.
