Condition

Very good condition overall with minor wear to the patina consistent with age and handling. A horizontal casting flaw visible to Laurent's back, beneath his neck. A few minor chips to the edges of the marble bases consistent with age and handing.

Catalogue Note

Les deux marbres grandeur nature furent réalisés par Michel-Ange entre 1525 et 1534 pour orner la partie centrale des tombeaux de Laurent et Julien de Médicis (Florence, église San Lorenzo).
