A l’oeil nu : Le tableau se présente dans un état de conservation moyennement satisfaisant. Il a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage très ancien, très vraisemblablement à la fin du XIXe siècle. Le tableau est sous un vernis extrêmement encrassé. On remarque des restaurations dans l’eau. On remarque aussi quelques usures dans les parties brunes, dans le ciel et dans l’eau. A la lampe U. V. : On remarque un dévernissage partiel dans le ciel et un vernis vert plus épais dans la partie basse. On remarque d’assez nombreuses restaurations intervenant dans l’eau, au centre de la composition entre les embarcation et sur l’embarcation à gauche. On remarque également quelques reprises dans l’embarcation à droite. To the naked eye: The painting appears in moderately satisfactory condition. It has been formerly relined, very probably at the end of the 19th century. The painting is under a very dirty varnish. We notice some restorations on the water. We also notice some wears on the brown parts, in the sky and on the water. Under U.V. light: We notice that the varnish has been partially removed in the sky a green thicker varnish in the lower part. We notice numerous restorations on the water, in the centre of the composition on the boats and on the boat on the left. We also notice some repaints on the boat on the left.
