A l'œil nu : Le tableau se présente dans un état de conservation satisfaisant. Il a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage dans la deuxième moitié du XXe siècle, un peu fort, qui a un peu tassé la matière. Il est sous un vernis ancien qui a besoin d'être nettoyé. A la lampe U. V. : Le tableau apparaît sous un vernis vert uniforme. On ne remarque aucune restauration. Le rapport de condition a été réalisé le 1er septembre 2016 en l'hôtel particulier rue de Varenne de M. de Balkany et ces lots feront l'objet d'un transport préalablement aux expositions et à la vente. Le tableau, dans ces conditions, n'a pas pu être décroché. To the naked eye: The work is in good overall condition. It has been relined in the second half of the 20th century. The relining has been done a little bit too strong and the pictorial matter has been slightly flattened. The varnish is old and would need to be cleaned. Under the U.V. light: The U. V. light reveals a uniform green varnish. We cannot notice any restoration. The condition report was made on September 1st, 2016 at the Mr. de Balkany's Hôtel Particulier Rue de Varenne and the painting will be shipped before the exhibition and the sale. The painting couldn't be taken down in this situation.
