The illustration is quite accurat, good overall conditions despite the inevitable scratches, dents, marks and use due to the age and use.

Le modèle de ces flambeaux apparaît sur un dessin aquarellé de Dugourc, daté de 1790, où il est également indiqué que Gouthière les a réalisés (reproduit dans H. Ottomeyer, P. Proschel et al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, p. 286-287, fig. 4.15.3 et fig. 4.15.6).
