Condition

The illustration is accurate, good overall condition despite the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to the age and use. All constructions are firm and sound. All upholsteries are in good condtion. There are the usual minor chips to the paint all over the wood. Six chairs are very slightly different as the original model from the 1950's have been reissues during the 1990's. Ready to use.

Catalogue Note

Peut-être réalisés par Jansen, des fauteuils similaires apparaissent sur une aquarelle d'Alexandre Serebriakoff datant de 1950 et représentant la salle à manger de Charles de Beistegui dans l'hôtel du 19 rue de Constantine, que son père avait acheté en 1913 aux Talleyrand-Périgord  (vente Sotheby's à Londres, le 26 mai 2004, lot 203).
