la façade flanquée de colonnes cannelées détachées, ouvrant à un tiroir en ceinture ornée d'une frise de rinceaux feuillagés et rosettes, et à deux vantaux décorés d'une marqueterie rayonnante et à croisillons ; la plinthe ornée d'une frise de godrons et de grattoirs, reposant sur des pieds toupie ; dessus de marbre blanc

Condition

The illustration is accurate despite a little too orange, good overall condition despite the inevitable dents, scratches and marks due to the age and use. There are two small vertical shrinkage scratches on a lateral side of both commodes. As visible on the illustration they are some small shrinkage scratches on both front door, the gilding is slightly tarnished and rubbed, the brass filets of the colonnes is tarnished. Some mahogany filets of the colonnes are loosed or lifting and need to be fixed properly There are some small chips and scratches on both marble top. Please note that this condition report was made on August 31th 2016 inside Robert de Balkany's hôtel rue de Varenne; this lot will be shipped to Sotheby's galleries before the exhibit and the sale
