The complete portfolio of ten screenprints in colors, 1986, signed in pencil and numbered 175/250 (total edition includes 50 artist's proofs), F. & S. II.377 inscribed 'unique' (as issued), on Lenox Museum Board, with the blindstamp of the printer, Rupert Jasen Smith, New York, and the inkstamp of the publisher, Gaultney-Klineman Art, Inc., New York, on the verso, framed (10 prints)
Condition
The prints are in good condition, the colors are fresh and the sheets are full. Imperfections in the individual prints are as follows:
Geronimo with a circa one inch diagonal crease at lower left corner with associated ink loss and a V-shaped scuff with a speck of ink loss above the numbering. Minor additional scuffs and soiling in the brown and black ink and a few tiny ink losses at the lower sheet edge. Remains of linen-taped hinges on the verso.
Kachina Dolls also with linen-taped hinges on the verso and minor surface soiling in the white of the upper left corner.
John Wayne with a soft and inconspicuous scratch and a few specks of surface dirt in the green of the subject's coat at lower right. A stray pencil mark at right sheet edge and minor surface soiling in top right corner. The verso with minor surface soiling.
Annie Oakley with unobtrusive scuffing at the bottom right sheet edge and a few stray pencil marks on the verso.
General Custer with very inconspicuous stray ink at extreme sheet edge below the signature and a tiny speck of soiling above the figure's right shoulder. A stray green mark on the verso.
Northwest Coast Mask with inconspicuous rubbing in the black ink and a very faint pencil smudge below the signature in the bottom right corner.
The bottom right corner of the Plains Indian Shield is a little soft and there is faint soiling around the blindstamp. Some stray ink above the signature and a stray pencil mark on the verso.
Mother and Child with a tiny, inconspicuous stray red ink in the lower left corner and a very faint stray blue ink above the blindstamp. A pale unobtrusive spot of soiling in right side, center. (Stray blue mark on verso.)
Indian Head Nickel with a tiny unobtrusive knick in extreme sheet edge, bottom right. A faint stray pencil mark top right corner just outside coin edge.
Teddy Roosevelt with very inconspicuous rubbing along bottom sheet edge and next to figure's nose. Unobtrusive scuff marks in figure's coat and hat and a stray pencil mark above figure's right should. (Stray ink on verso.)
