Linoleum cut printed in black and brown, 1965, signed in pencil, numbered 54/160 (total edition includes 35 proofs reserved for the artist, some of which are signed), on wove paper, published by Le Patriote, Nice, framed

Condition

The print is in good condition, with margins. There is a surface abrasion measuring 2.5cm and dots of brown ink in the white of the subject's left cheek and traces of stray ink elsewhere (these probably occurred during the printing process). A small patch of linen hinging adhered to the subject's hat. Occasional unobtrusive surface scuffs. Scattered pale fox marks verso. The edges of the sheet slightly toned. A 5mm possible repaired tear (paper fault?) in the lower sheet edge (away from the image). The sheet adhered to the backboard with two pieces of linen tape recto and three verso. Framed.
