Linoleum cut printed in colors, 1962, signed in pencil, numbered 4/50, on Arches wove paper, printed by Hidalgo Arnéra, Vallauris, published by Galerie Louise Leiris, framed
Provenance
Acquired Christie's, New York, Prints & Multiples, April 24, 2012, lot 116.
Condition
The print is in generally good condition and the sheet is full but was previously laid-down. There are traces of adhesive on the verso throughout, with associated mottling and an overall stiffening of the paper. A c. 1/4 inch tear with an adjacent repair is visible at the lower right sheet edge. The margins are discolored by mat-stain and there is a small diagonal crease across the lower right corner. (Three small hinge remnants at the lower sheet edge, verso. Two inconspicuous hairline cracks in the ink at lower left.)
