The complete set, comprising 14 lithographs printed in sanguine, hors-texte, and 17 linocuts, hors- and en-texte, 1946, signed in pencil by the artist and author on the justification, numbered 46 (from the total edition of 250), with title and text by Pierre Reverdy, on wove paper, with the original beige paper-covered portfolio and slipcase, printed by Mourlot, published by Les Éditions du Chêne, Paris, each lithograph framed

The full sheets, in good condition apart from paper discoloration (usually due to mount- and backboard-staining), occasional offsetting, occasional fox marks and minor surface soiling, soft handling creases, a few small tears to the edges of the paper covers and text pages, minor wear to the portfolio and slipcase, an ink inscription on the spine of the portfolio, each lithograph framed. Other imperfections to individual sheets include: Lithograph 10 with offsetting on the recto of the lithograph (in the subject's hands) from the linocut on the preceding page.
