Woodcut, 1913-14, signed in pencil, bearing the date '13', probably a proof impression before the edition of 40, on thick fibrous Japan paper, framed

Condition

With full margins (a deckle edge above and below), in good condition apart from a 13mm tear in the lower sheet edge and a 5mm tear in the right sheet edge (both well away from the image), very pale light-staining, soft handling creases and some slightly stronger creases at the sheet edges, occasional minute fox marks (only visible upon close inspection), traces of ink residue and a previous hinge remain at the left sheet edge verso, framed. (A pencil inscription in the lower margin, probably by another hand).
