Etching and drypoint, 1650, the second (final) state, New Hollstein's second (final) state, a good impression of this rare subject, printing with touches of burr in the reflections of the reeds, on paper with part of a Foolscap watermark

Condition

With thread margins at three sides, retaining inky plate edges at left and right, trimmed on the plate mark at upper edge, in good condition apart from a narrow band of skinning at upper sheet edge verso (probably due to the removal of previous adhesive), pale staining from a previous hinge at upper sheet edge towards the right and a very small unobtrusive stain at lower right, remains of previous tape at the right sheet edge verso, minor surface dirt at upper right, unframed (?)
