Etching and drypoint, circa 1641, a fine impression of the only state, New Hollstein's third state (of four), printing with strong contrast and rich burr, on paper with a Strasbourg Bend watermark, framed

Condition

With a thread margin at right and narrow margins elsewhere (trimmed slightly unevenly), in good condition apart from an unobtrusive repaired tear at lower right (extending 3mm into the subject) with two associated nicks and an adjacent thinned area (probably due to previous mounting), a tiny area of paper thinning at the lower left corner, occasional small fox marks in the image and verso, framed. (Previous hinge remains at lower corners verso).
