Description

  • agate
of flattened form, carved through the darker skin of the stone in low relief with a bird standing on a large lotus leaf with furled edges, the reverse decorated with further lotus leaves, the translucent stone of a beige-brown tone

Collection of Roger Pilkington (1928-69).

Condition

There is 0.5cm crack to the rim and other bruising to the rim. Rim possibly slightly polished.
