Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is affixed to the mount at intermittent points along the verso. The edges are deckled and slightly irregular with some minor handling marks and creases, notably along the upper edge. There is a small loss in the lower left corner and another in the upper right. Two small repaired tears running up from the lower edge the largest of which is Y-shaped and visible to the right of the figure's feet. There is a flattened crease running horizontally through the centre of the composition with two small repaired tears at each end. The sheet is lightly time-stained with gentle creasing throughout and a faint old mat mark along the extreme perimeter which is not visible when framed. This work is in overall good condition.
