Sotheby's New York, Photographs from the Polaroid Collection, 21-22 June 2010, Sale 8649, Lot 77

Condition

This early print, on paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. When examined in raking light, tiny deposits of original retouching are visible in the sky area, as well as a subtly raised area of the outline of the label on the reverse. The cream-colored mount is dated '1950.' There are a few foxmarks and scattered soiling on the mount. The reverse of the mount is scuffed and soiled, and there are two strips of transparent tape affixed horizontally across the label. An overmat is affixed with three pieces of cloth tape to the reverse of the mount along the top edge.
