Condition

This partially-toned print on Agfa paper is in generally excellent condition. When examined under raking light, Witkins's technical process and toning are visible, particularly on and near the warmer sections of the image. There is a very small, crescent-shaped crease in the upper left quadrant of the image which is only visible upon close examination in raking light, and it does not appear to break the emulsion. The margin corners and the lower portion of the right edge are very lightly bumped. There are some tiny, barely discernible deposits of indeterminate nature in the margins. On the reverse, 'JPW.245.X' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
