Condition

This print, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface and neutral tonality, is in generally excellent condition. There is slight silvering along the periphery of the image. The tiny gray dot visible in the central portion of the image in the sky area appear to be a feature of the negative and not the present print. The margin edges are ever so slightly age darkened. The left and right margin edges are gently rippled, and the margin corners are lightly bumped. The 'Robert Frank Archives' stamp on the reverse is annotated in an unidentified hand in pencil: 'Lines 51'; 'London 1952'; and '412.' While 'Storylines' dates this image 1951, Frank has dated this print '1950' in the margin.
