Description

- gelatin silver print
mounted, initialed and dated '1936' in pencil on the mount, numbered 'LA-mgm-14g' in pencil on the reverse, 1939, possibly printed in the 1940s
Condition
This somewhat warm-toned print, on semi-glossy paper, is in generally very good condition. It has yellowed somewhat, most notably at the periphery. There is age-appropriate silvering in the darkest areas of the image at the edges.
The print is mounted to thin, off-white card, which is somewhat age-darkened. On the reverse of the mount, the following are written in pencil,' 'K + 9,' and 'CKK89-0007.' An old piece of tape is adhered to the lower edge, with attendant light brown discoloration on the mount. There is minimal foxing on the reverse and the edges are slightly age-darkened.
When viewed under ultraviolet light this print does not appear to fluoresce.
