Condition

'The Falling Soldier': This print is in generally excellent condition. All rights are reserved and copyright resides with Cornell Capa 2000.' It is annotated 'The Falling Soldier' and 'September 5 1936' in pencil, and '154 PRP SPN 043' in ink. Also on the reverse, 'BOB1936004WOOOX/ICP154' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil. 'Omaha Beach, Normandy': This print is in generally excellent condition. When examined in raking light, some soft, crescent-shaped creases are visible near the edges of the image. These do not appear to break the emulsion. On the reverse, the Estate label reads 'This photograph is from a negative belonging to the estate of Robert Capa and was produced under the supervision of Cornell Capa. All rights are reserved and copyright resides with Cornell Capa 2000.' It is annotated 'Omaha Beach, Normandy' and 'June 6, 1944' in pencil, and '586 WAR FRA 004' in ink. Also on the reverse, 'BOB194404CW00003/ICP586' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
