Condition

These photographs are in generally good condition. Silvering is visible along the edges of each print, as is occasional discoloration. In raking light, deposits of retouching, pin-point-sized impressions, and some faint surface scratches and rubbing are visible overall. There is occasional soiling to the recto and the verso of the mounts. The plates are as follows: Breaking Wave, Golden Gate, San Francisco, 1952 Log and Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, 1952 - There is a crease at the lower right edge, which possibly occurred during mounting. View of San Francisco in the Rain, 1952 Woman with Umbrella, San Francisco, 1955 Sunset District and Pacific Ocean, San Francisco, 1951 Figures in the Rain, San Francisco, 1955 Worker, Saratoga, California, 1958 - There is a deposit of indeterminate nature in the upper left quadrant. Grape Picker, Berryessa Valley, California, 1956 - There is a small crease in the upper portion of the image. Oak Tree and Rock, Black Hawk Ranch, California, 1954 Cowboy, Arizona, 1957 Landscape, Jackson, California, 1948 Garden Detail, San Francisco, 1947 The interior of the clamshell box and the foreword have been inscribed by a previous owner in blue pen. There are some handling creases and very minor soiling to the title, dedication, foreword, and plate list.
