Condition

This warm-toned photograph is in generally very good condition. The print is trimmed to the image, and there is insignificant chipping along the right edge. Silvering is visible in the dark areas of the image, primarily along the left and right edges. Tiny deposits of original retouching and a few faint fingerprints are visible upon very close examination. There is a superficial one-inch scratch in the lower right quadrant. None of the above distract in any way from the fine appearance of this photograph. The mount is sunned at the image periphery, lightly soiled overall, and appropriately age-darkened at the extreme edges. The mount corners are rounded and chipped, and there is wear along the upper mount edge. The California Camera Club label on the reverse of the mount is dated 'June 1929' and signed illegibly by the Chairman of the Print Committee in ink. Additional notations in pencil or ink on the reverse are as follows: '11x14 Bro-'; '62'; and '10-450.' The reverse of the mount is appropriately age-darkened and exhibits sporadic foxing. There are 2 hinge remnants in the upper corners on the reverse. There is a 12.5 inch strip of yellowed adhesive (no longer active) along the upper edge on the reverse.
