- Shell in Shell
- gelatin silver print
framed, early 1930s; accompanied by letter of authentication from Rondal Partridge, the photographer's son
Condition
This somewhat warm-toned early print, on light-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. There are 2 small white, matte deposits in the upper left quadrant. When examined in raking light, the following are visible: faint silvering in the darkest areas of the print, and a crescent-shaped sharp handling crease in the upper right quadrant that does not appear to break the emulsion.
There is a small soft handling crease in the right margin and a tiny yellow deposit in the lower margin. The margin edges and corners are gently bumped with a minor loss to the emulsion along the lower right margin.
'PF27775' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse.
