For ‘Photographs in 3 Acts’, an ambitious project conducted between 2011 and 2015, Levitas raised a large-format camera in order to obstruct the perspective of public surveillance cameras. Therefore establishing a new field of vision, Levitas litteraly repositioned photography in the public space. These photographs are those of the absence of surveillance. Visibility is modified, and what appears - in other words, what we know about ourselves - has changed.
