with a handle on each side with latticework sides, the base decorated with a spray of roses  

Provenance

The Estate of the late Giuseppe Rossi, Vol. III, The Louis XVI and Empire Furniture, 12th March 1999, lot 1396.

Condition

An ornate pair in fair conserved condition. The base and interior show signs of discolouration and wear consistent with age and use. The rims to both have areas of restoration, one of which has been cracked. The exterior painted; decoration is fresh and vibrant.
