Description

  • 27.5cm., 10 7/8 in. high
of typical form, transfer-printed and painted with small pastoral vignettes taken from the Ladies' Amusement, further decorated with painted flowers and raised gilt ornament, gilt-metal mounts

Condition

One candlestick, with original scalloped edged nozzle, cracked and glued to interior. Small chips around bottom knop and small chips and cracks to flared base. later filled. the other, nozzle with painting restored and attached to top of candlestick, restored below the bottom knop, later filled. both with hairline cracks
